It has been a while since we saw a decent CPU-only Cryptocurrency announced. Even thought I might have overlooked some, I think QubitCoin is the first in a long while that could be remotely interesting. Here’s the deal about QubitCoin :
– “Super secure hashing: 5 rounds of hashing functions (luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo). “
– 248 Million QubitCoin (QBT) in total
– Difficulty retargets every 20 blocks
The reason why I find QubitCoin remotely interesting, is because it’s shrouded in controversy by (ignorant?) users. Some claim it’s a “Russian scamcoin“, others say it’s a “botnet coin” because of the difficulty getting ridiculous.
Approach with caution, but make up your mind I’ld say.
Works for me. Some say a lot of things on forums, and some of those things say more about them as individuals than the collective or the coin.
