H2OCoin has been launched yesterday, and I have to say, I’m quite impressed by how smooth it all went. it has been a while since there was no massive issue.
Once the H2OCoin pools went live, none of them seem to have issues with disconnects, DDoS, database issues, or anything like that.
The H2OCoin wallet for Windows installed & synced quickly, but it did need a minor temporary fix in order to sync past a certain block.
However, that temporary fix was released promptly, and the developer is still working on a complete fix for this problem.
In case you have a H2OCoin Windows client that is out of sync for several hours now, you can follow these steps to solve the issue :
Step 2 : Replace your blockchain with the latest one
Step 3 : delete everything in your h2ocoin folder except your wallet.dat and config file
Step 4 : Paste those files in there, start wallet, and you should sync right up
It is possible that, once you’ve completed the steps above, your H2OCoin wallet might give an error message. Simply repeat the steps, and it will work fine when you start the client again.
As mentioned before, this is a temporary fix until we see the updated client. We assume the new H2OCoin client will be released today or tomorrow.
Users who run the H2OCoin wallet on Linux and/or Macintosh were not affected by this issue, so they should be fine.
Good work by the H2OCoin developer in order to get a temporary fix out there so fast, and kudos to all mining pool operators for the smooth launch.
