Even though I had originally planned to do this article yesterday, it got delayed a bit due to World Cup games, and, well, a bit of general laziness. But I’m getting to it now, as ZeusMiner has provided us with another weekly update!
I could sum up everything that has been said in this news update, but I’ll just get to the bits that are relevant to myself, as well as to any other Blizzard customer out there. We actually get something , but I’m not sure I’ll ever use it.
After a lot of users complained (rightfully so) about probably never getting an ROI on their investment, the ZeusMiner team decided to come up with a financial intervention. Don’t get your hopes up too high though, as we aren’t getting money back.
All batch one customers will receive store credit. Yup, you heard it, virtual money so you’d buy more stuff from ZeusMiner. Blizzard customers like myself get a whopping $55 in store credit, which we can use for batch 2 orders. Awesome, right?
The people who purchased bigger hardware, will get a bigger store credit : Lightning customers will get $2,000 . Thunder customers get $1,000 and Cyclone customers get $700. Even though I finally got something half decent as a Blizzard customer, I still feel shafted to be honest.
It’s not the amount that bothers me, it’s the fact it’s store credit, which is pretty much useless to me, as I’m not ordering a batch 2 product from ZeusMiner. I like the product I have, don’t get me wrong, but I personally don’t see the point in getting an extra miner for Scrypt.
I’m glad to see ZeusMiner batch one customers are getting more “free” stuff, but I’m not their target audience for these things I guess. If only they offered X13 miners too, then it would be a different story for me. But they might in the future, you never know…
