So this will be the first article I’m writing on my freshly arrived Chromebook. I really like this device and it will be useful for my trip to Bitcoin 2014 in Amsterdam next week! Let’s start the day off with some more AsiaCoin news, shall we?
As we mentioned a day or two ago, the new and updated AsiaCoin client has been compiled, and the sources were sent out to exchanges for review. MintPal have announced that, due to their maintenance yesterday, they haven’t had a chance to review the new code yet.
From what we can gather, this review should be completed either late today or at some point tomorrow. Once we have received an official update from MintPal, we will let you know. Other exchanges, Bter, C-Cex, SwapHole and Palth have all upgraded their exchange wallets.
Prices for AC have also picked u a bit since these exchanges have upgraded their wallets. 900 Satoshi per coin has been reached recently, so it appears to be heading back towards its previous target of 1,500 Satoshi per AC.
But there is more news coming! First of all, an AsiaCoin block explorer is in the works, and is expected to be up running within the next few days. With this AsiaCoin block explorer, an AsiaCoin rich list is coming as well, as they are both being developed by the same person.
And there’s more good news! A new dedicated AsiaCoin Multipool is currently in the works, which will co-exist with the current three multipools paying out in AsiaCoin already. Basic functionality is ready, and a beta release is expected in the near future.
It surely looks as if AsiaCoin‘s revival could be one of the best things ever happening to the cryptocurrency community in general. We will definitely keep an eye on the situation as it develops further.
