I have received interesting news from the AeroCoin developers, in regards to some of the upcoming features they are planning to release in the near future. None of these details have officially been announced as far as I can tell, so let’s take a look!
First of all, there will be a further update to AeroCoin’s anonymity feature. A 3-level key ring (sounds a bit like multi-sig to ,e but I could be wrong, so don’t take my word for it!) will be implemented to make transactions even more anonymous.(and this will possibly lead to a trustless decentralized anonymity service as well if I’m right about multi-sig).
In other news, AeroCoin will rebrand itself to just Aero. As the whole “coin” part of the name is not really helping with marketing, a rebrand could be a good choice. It’s already hard enough to get some recognition for your cryptocurrency, so having the term “coin” as an addendum is not helping. We all know these are coins anyway, right?
On the technical side, there will be some other changes coming too. A new node technology will be implemented, which will make use of DNS seeding. No further details have been released at this point in time, but I’m sure we’ll find out more soon.
Last but not least, the AeroME project is currently still under development. Still no official ETA on when this platform will be released, but as the developers are actively working on it, it will be released fairly soon I guess.
An independent peer review will be carried out by a well known and respected dev in the world of cryptocurrencies. This review should be completed either today or tomorrow, and we will post a new article with all of the details.
