In a few days from now, the Bitcoin expo 2015 will begin. This conference will be held in London and is organised by Crypto Events. We at CryptoArticles are looking forward to our first congress of 2015. It will be fun to hear what everyone is up to and how they are getting along with their companies now that the Bitcoin price is fluctuating so much.
We also had a huge success with our “who we are looking forward to meet at the congress” list for events we attended in 2014. Most people who aren’t involved or want to get involved into Bitcoin and digital currencies in general find this a great reference tool. Before we begin our lists, we would like to say to the other speakers that we didn’t mention that every speaker is equally important in our eyes. However, we have to make a selection of five people so let us begin with the first speaker Serge would love to hear.
Serge’s List
The first speaker that I’m looking forward to is Miss Wilhelmina Jewell Strong-Sparks. She is a global business strategist, focussed on scaling up the businesses of others. She is the founder of OTGC, Bithouse and a lot of other organisations. I would like to hear her take on Bitcoin, the price, developments as well as what her companies are doing in the crypto currency sphere.
The second speaker I want to hear is Nicolas Bacca. he is the co-founder of Ledger and will representing his startup company at the conference. Ledger is actually a hardware Bitcoin wallet which is being labelled as the most secure wallet. With the recent hacks fresh in everybody’s memory, I would like to hear his take on that and how Ledger ensures the security of their hardware wallets.
The third speaker is dr. Nicolas T. Courtois. He is a senior lecturer and publisher of papers concerning cryptographic security. Seeing that he is one of the experts to ask questions to about the recent hacks and security issues with exchanges I’m looking forward to hear his analysis and what needs to be done in the future to prevent most, if not all of these attacks.
The fourth speaker is Ross Nicoll, representing Dogecoin. I always liked Dogecoin from the beginning and i would like to hear what the future may hold for Dogecoin. As of late, they have been heavily involved in charity work, among other things, and I would like to know if they are planning to continue on that route or if they are going to change that at some point.
The fifth and certainly not least is Jeremy Gardner. he is the founder and driving force of the College Cryptocurrency Network. We met Mr. Gardner at the BTC2B in Brussels, where he did a fabulous presentation of CCN. We would like to hear how he is doing and how the college chapters are holding out, especially while Bitcoin is having a “negative backlash” because of its fluctuations.
JP’s List
First of all, let me start by saying that Serge’s list is looking quite nice, and I had similar names on my first shortlist. Luckily, I always come prepared with more than a dozen names, so let’s see who else we can add to the list of “top people we want to meet”.
Up first we have Glenn Mariën, founder of Dogechain.info and an experienced Bitcoin veteran ever since he got involved in mining in 2010. Even though I have come across Dogechain.info several times, I would love to hear more about the technical side of the project, and if he plans on making further improvements. His “super secret Bitcoin project” intrigues me as well, though I doubt I’ll get much information in that regard.
Next up is Atif Nazir, the CEO of Block.io. For those of you who don’ tknow what Block.io offers, it is the world’s easiest Bitcoin wallet as a service. Some interesting features include multi-currency support, the implementation of Green Addresses and their easy to use API. As we are looking to expand CryptoArticles’ functionality, let’s see what Block.io can do to help us.
Simon Dixon, CEO of BankToTheFuture, might be one of the most interesting individuals on the current list of speakers for Bitcoin Expo 2015. Equity crowdfunding will be an interest market for cryptocurrency enthusiasts in 2015 and beyond, so let’s see what BankToTheFuture can reveal to us in regards to the launch of their platform.
Nicolas Cary, CEO of Blockchain.info, is one of the “major” names on the list of people attending Bitcoin Expo 2015 in London this weekend. As I am a user of Blockchain.info myself, I would love to pick his brain about the current state and future plans for their service. And if you have any questions for Mr. Cary, leave a comment below and we will try and ask him in person.
To conclude my list, I would love to have a word with Coinify’s Product Manager Lasse Birk Olesen. Merchant solutions for Bitcoin payments always make great articles, and I am anxious to find out how Coinify will be separating themselves from the “flock” in regards to doing things differently or offering unique features.
So that is our 5 “must listen and/or speak to list for the BitcoinExpo 2015. The other speakers are equally valuable and we will try to listen to each and every speaker and representative that is there. For example Mr. John Mitchell, Marco Streng and Benjamin Bommhardt, to name a few are also very important speakers. Suffice to say Bitcoin Expo 2015 in london will be interesting, fun and informative to start 2015.
