Cannabiscoin has announced an interesting new service right before the Christmas holiday break, called MJPay. As you would come to expect from the name, this will be a platform to facilitate medical marijuana sales, and based on open source software. It will be interesting to see this platform being developed, as there is a bit of mystery surround it for the time being.
Most of that mystery probably has to do with the fact that all information we have about MJPay is an announcement image, and the domain URL which will be used. While the domain itself works, and seems to be registered on December 21st, the website itself shows the same image and a “Coming Soon” message.
Besides the fact MJPay will be based on open source software, no further details have been announced at this point in time. While speculation is running wild on what to expect and how everything will work, we will gladly wait on further official announcements from the developers in regards to this platform.
CANN is not the first marijuana-themed cryptocurrency to announce a payment platform, as several of its competitors have done exactly the same. However, none of them has delivered on that promise so far, so it will be interesting to see how things will play out for MJPay.
