The two days of CoinSummit have been a blast. The summit was divided in panels; these were prominent figures in investment, project backers, VCs, Fidor Bank, and crypto businesses. Every day, there were also startups that were given a platform at CoinSummit to explain who they are and what they do. Start-ups like SWARM, Chromawallet, etc….
After every hour or so, there was an opportunity to get something to drink and network with the people that were present at CoinSummit; from CoinDesk to start-up companies ( where we made some great friends along the way with really great products). Nevertheless, the drinks -non alcoholic- flowed and the food flowed too, so to speak.
Both of us were invited to both afterparties. The first one was organized by SWARM. After that very brief 7-8 minute startup speech, the SWARM team took the opportunity to explain what they do even better.
The SWARM team, with Joel Dietz in front, spoke about the 3 Swarm funding that are already online. The most impressive project was the one by SpaceBIT. They were raising capital for launching micro satellites into space.
These mini satellites (which are 3D printed by the way!) will be launched with Space X, the company of Elon Musk. After the presentations, it was time for some mingling and networking.
The second afterparty was organized by SpaceBIT. It was great as well, but a bit different from the other afterparty. This second afterparty was more to get investors to commit and educate. Although it was a bit different, it was very informative.
We did like both afterparties because these parties are more opportunities to talk to other crypto enthusiasts and crypto businesses, as well as to get their view on the whole crypto idea. We will write lots of articles over the coming week to tell you about our experiences.
