It has been a little while since we last received an update from the Fibre development team. Since FIBRE has become part of the BlockNet, there are so many things to do, and communication is still a key part of that. Luckily for our readers, I managed to get a hold of one of the FIBRE community members, who provided us with information in regards to what is going on behind the scenes as of late.
Before we go into those details, have you seen the Fibre press release yet? I’m sure most of you have by now, as it has popped up on various media outlets worldwide. Bitcoin Magazine , Bitcoin PR Buzz and Yahoo Finance are just a few examples.
Fibre’s press release mentions various interesting topics and features to be find in the FIBRE digital currency, such as FibreOS, FibreLock and ZeroTrust. Real world applications get the spotlight as well, including Fibre being added to the Casheer platform in the near future.
Having such a press release go out is just part of the strategy for FIBRE adoption however, Several people have requested tutorials for various functions, and they are now available for FibreOS, FibreLock in the Bitcoin wallet, Fibre Hybrid Tor wallet & gateway. and FibreConnect encrypted messaging.
As far as current development goes, a lot of projects are being worked on as of this writing. From the information we have received, there apparently are some minor security issues with ZeroTrust which need to be resolved. As ZeroTrust will be an important part of FIBRE’s innovation, these matters need to be sorted out sooner rather than later.
Speaking of ZeroTrust, the Fibre team is planning to run an independent audit on their implementation of the feature. No further details have been announced at this point in time, but once we receive an update, a new article will be posted on this website.
New Fibre wallets are being compiled, as the lead developer has made some important progress so far. Internal builds of these wallets are being tested every few days, and a public release, including the whitepaper for the new feature(s), is expected relatively soon.
