The Paycoin (XPY) sage appears to be far from over. Despite several articles being published about how Josh Garza can not fulfil his earlier promises, he is not planning to give up the fight just yet. In a recent move, Mr. Garza called out Litecoin Director Andrew Vegatabile to a duel of words,as he really wants to have an open and public debate.
Ever since GAW Miners managed to acquire the Coin-Swap digital currency exchange, a lot of altcoins have been removed from that platform, to great dismay of the cryptocurrency communities. When the news broke, Litecoin volunteered to be removed from the exchange platform, as they wanted nothing to do with Mr. Garza or anything he has his fingers in.
Not only was this a great source of commotion and speculation for both sides, but it also puts Paycoin in a bit of pickle (or an even bigger one than they are in right now). Josh Garza feels all of this controversy and “hatred” from other communities could bring a negative image to his newly launched Paycoin (XPY). Like we really need to help him with the bad image he created himself, right?
However, Mr. Garza seems very open to a public debate with Andrew Vegatabile in order to set the record straight and iron out the wrinkles existing on both sides of the fence. This debate will be held online, and both parties are expected to go head-to-head; Somebody bring us laods of popcorn because this will be fun to watch.
“I challenge Andrew to an open public debate in person online any time to discuss how this kind of action is bad for our industry and all the coins out there. If he asked the Litecoin community as a whole and had a vote, would the Litecoin users want a new place to use their coins and support their choice of currency? I think yes, they would,” Josh Garza told in a recent interview.
One of the major questions being asked in the cryptocurrency community is why Mr. Garza is so fired up over Mr. Vegatabile’s request to have Litecoin removed from Coin-Swap? After all, Coin-Swap has never been the biggest of exchange platforms, and there seems to be no reason to get upset about that request, especially considering GAW has removed a load of altcoins themselves once they were in charge.
On the other hand, you can obviously understand the request of Andrew Vegatabile to have Litecoin removed from that exchange platform. If you create a coin, and you run/buy your own exchange where that coin is traded, that is a massive conflict of interest to say the least. Apparently, not everyone sees it that way, but that’s human nature for you.
Furthermore, there seems to be an ulterior motive behind Josh Garza’s purchase of Coin-Swap. According to him, it was a move to increase Paycoin (XPY) adoption , as well as adoption of other digital currencies. After all, the opportunity presented itself, so why not take advantage of it? Because it’s unethical to do and everyone knows what your real plan is perhaps?
We will keep an eye out for further information regarding this public debate, and keep our readers updated accordingly.
