New York – Bitcoin Center NYC, the city’s only brick-and-mortar institution dedicated to the further adoption of Bitcoin, announced today that it will welcome prominent nonprofit organization A Slice of Hope to host the very first Bitcoin-A-Thon on Monday August 18th.
The event will serve to celebrate A Slice of Hope’s adoption of the Bitcoin donation platform, in efforts to continue it’s astounding mission to raise joy and optimism in homeless shelters nationwide. Join us in welcoming this inspiring organization into the Bitcoin sphere!
Event will feature pizza and live music, as is A Slice of Hope’s famous aesthetic! Open Bar.
A Slice of Hope– is a nonprofit organization that seeks to bring awareness and solution to the “hunger epidemic” right here in the US. A Slice of Hope organizes grassroots events throughout the country to support and honor the efforts of local food banks and shelters working in their communities to combat the growing tide of US poverty, homelessness and hunger. The organization, founded by actor Obaid Kadwani, seeks to feed the body and the soul by creating a day of uplifting celebration and motivation; offering not just a hot meal, but entertainment, information, and emotional support to individuals seeking a better life.
Obaid Kadwani- is the founder of A Slice of Hope and an Indian-TV personality who wears many hats including producer, director, author, actor and charity activist. He is the co-producer and director of the off-Broadway play, They Call Me Q, the head of It’s OK Films and the author of the upcoming book, A Slice of Hope. He is the co-founder of Working Actor Studio, an acting school dedicated towards providing actors with quality, affordable training. He is an actor and television personality seen by a million Americans every week as the host of Bollywood-focused TC shows for Namaste America. Obaid acts in Hindi (Bollywood films) as well as American films and TV. He has appeared in numerous print ads, corporate video, and voiceovers.
