Dragonglass, a gamified cryptocurrency experience, launched its ICO on the 16th of February, 2018, in its effort to make cryptocurrency more accessible to the general public.
Envisioned by software engineers Mart Lume and Gleb Skibitsky and started at the end of 2017, Dragonglass is designed as a user-friendly mobile gaming experience that provides the general public access to cryptocurrency mining. Believing that cryptocurrency mining would become widely adopted if it were more affordable and simple, the founders developed a method to mine cryptocurrency while playing a mobile game.
With backgrounds rooted in software engineering – Lume, the first employee at productivity software company Slack, and Skibitsky, a 19-year old programmer – together with a team of 13 employees and 5 advisors, developed and launched a cryptocurrency mining app that even novices could utilize.
Mining Dragonglass requires no programming skills or extensive cryptocurrency knowledge. There is also no need for costly mining rigs or expensive hardware. Users don’t need a powerful smartphone to mine Dragonglass as it does not rely on computing power like traditional cryptocurrency mining. Anyone with an Android (iOS version to be launched shortly) device capable of running a 2D mobile game can mine Dragonglass. All a user needs to do is buy some Dragonglass and Ether tokens, download the app and play the miner game.
The Dragonglass application can be downloaded for free. It is a puzzle platformer, where users complete tasks and move through the levels. By successfully completing a level, they are mining DGS in the process. This way, users can mine up to 10x of the tokens they have initially bought.
