As much as we would like to think that everything is okay, things are still awry as far as the Bitstamp exchange is concerned. Like we reported in yesterday’s article, it looks like the relaunch is not happening any time soon. In fact, there have been no updates provided throughout all day or night (depending on your timezone).
While all of that might not be a reason to panic for many cryptocurrency enthusiasts, it does worry me personally. Then again, I have seen these types of situations before and most of them ended badly for anyone involved. But all of us still have hope that everything will be working again very shortly, so let’s hope we are all right for a change.
The lack of communication from both Bitstamp and CEO Nejc Kodric is not just strange, especially considering yesterday’s plethora of updates on Twitter, but it’s also fairly disturbing to be honest. A lot of people already agree that these “bigger organizations” have a horrible way of handling public relations, and giving no information at all is not doing Bitstamp any favors right now.
No new update on the website is something I can understand, as the message currently visible tells you everything you need to know. Then again, the Bitstamp team filled up databases yesterday, then decided to rebuild systems from the ground up, and they even had spare time to do a temporary website redesign. Oh, and their social media account was more active than ever before as well.
However, it seems like somebody either shut off their internet access completely, or there is simply nothing to say at this point in time. Even if there is no advancement being made, your users would like to receive an update, Bitstamp. Heck, even repeating the same messages as yesterday would be a start, right?
At this point in time, it feels like the eyes of the entire cryptocurrency community are on Bitstamp and what their next move will be. Let’s hope they are being silent in order to surprise us with the relaunch, and not because things have gone from bad to worse. And please Bitstamp, work on your PR skills already, this is getting shameful.
