A few days ago, we have taken a first glance at NuBits, a very stable cryptocurrency from a price point perspective. The Nu team has worked hard on this project, and continues supporting this currency with everything they have. But NuBits is not their only project, as they have also created NuShares.
In some ways, NuShares are the exact opposite of NuBits. Whereas NuBits is all about price stability at the US$1.00 mark, NuShares wants to offer something to the cryptocurrency speculators, as it can appreciate in value.
NuShares represent a form of equity in the Nu network, and as a result, dividends are paid out to its owners. They have proven to be quite a valuable commodity so far, as US$50,000 in dividends was paid out during the first round of payments in November 2014. These dividends are paid out through the Nu client.
While that is an amazing feat in its own right, NuShares has not gone by unnoticed by other services. Major ranking websites, including the ever popular Coinmarketcap.com, have prominently featured NuShares, simply because of their investment potential.
A little know fact is that Coinmarketcap.com also keeps track of the most valuable assets in the world of cryptocurrency. NuShares has risen to the second spot in this category, while not even being publicly traded for more than a month. This just goes to show the growing momentum behind the Nu project.
Even though NuShares aim to please the digital currency speculators, the Nu team is working hard to establish a long-term value and profitability. In fact, the team hopes NuShares will answer one of the most pressing questions in digital economies : “What is the value of a stable-value digital currency network actually worth?”
Just like we mentioned in our NuBits article, NuShares can also be traded at the Danish CCEDK exchange. Ronny Boesing, CEO of CCEDK, is a strong believer of the Nu project, and has therefore opened up several trading pairs for both NuShares and NuBits.
We will do a more in-depth article on both NuBits and NuShares later this week, and give our readers an idea what the true power behind the Nu project is. We will also reach out to Ronny Boesing for some additional comments on the project, NuBits and NuShares.
