Time for another small update from the OPAL development team. No major announcements have been made at this point in time, due to the main developer needing to study for his finals. However, some upcoming features and plans have been touched upon, so let’s take a look at those.
The first project being talked about, is the Opalcoin HTML5 wallet which is currently in development, and expected to be released relatively soon. As of this writing, the OPAL HTML5 wallet is being tested by a select group of members, and so far, everything seems to be running smoothly.
In other news, the OPAL team is currently working on integrating Opacity in their Android wallet as well. No official details in regards to a release date for this functionality, but we will keep an eye out for any official update regarding this project.
Furthermore, the Opalcoin developers are also working on some sort of application which will compete with GEMS. As GEMS is a social messaging application, where advertisers can reach a specific audience, we might see a similar project for OPAL in the future. We will keep an eye out for any additional information in this regard.
Last but not least, a new Opalcoin client will be released soon. The main change about this new client will come in the form of SuperNET integration. No word yet on whether this includes some of the SuperNET features, but we expect more news over the next few weeks.
