Time to do some more articles, as there are still a lot of things to catch up on. SaffronCoin has made some new announcements it seems, so I figure we should take a look at what they have been up to. Here we go!
As the community has suggested a ton of interesting features to be added to SaffronCoin, the developers stated they do have to prioritize the suggestions. Most of them will be implemented in due time though, so there are plenty of things to come.
As it stands right now, the further development of SaffronCoin’s anonymous platform, called POOF!, has been put on hold. The developers feel this platform is not an absolute requirement at this stage. Most interesting!
A new feature is currently being developed, which will be called SFRBit. This feature will be similar to VeriCoin’s VeriBit, and will allow users to pay with SaffronCoin wherever Bitcoin is accepted as a payment method.
Once SFRBit has been implemented, we will see the development of a decentralized marketplace and anonymity of SaffronCoin. This anonymity would be provided in the form of optional stealth addresses. The decentralized marketplace will be integrated into the SaffronCoin client , and will allow users to buy and sell goods anonymously.

Speaking of the SFRBit implementation, it seems to be almost completed. The developers are currently downloading the Bitcoin blockchain on a separate node which will process SFRBit transactions. While this is taking place, the SaffronCoin developers came up with an interesting thought!
We might see SFRSend (SaffronCoin’s anonymity feature) included in the next wallet update, together with SFRBit. This is not confirmed at this time though, but we will keep an eye out for any updates regarding this situation.
