Time to take a closer look at what the SaffronCoin team has been up to lately. Even though they have developed some very nice and interesting features already, the work of cryptocurrency developers never stops.
The peer-to-peer market is still top priority for the SFR developers. Progress is being made, and new ways to write content to the blockchain have been added. By using these specific RPC commands, strings can now be both written to and retrieved from the blockchain.
Other commands which are being developed and tested allow for the creation of encrypted orders. The output of such an encrypted order gives a TX ID, which include the entire order details. Decryption of these orders is still being worked on as of this writing.
More commands are being worked on in order to provide a complete experience, for both merchants and customers. Once the alpha version of the SaffronCoin peer-to-peer market gets released, it will solely work through RPC commands.
After extensive alpha testing has been conducted, we will see a beta release down the line featuring a QT GUI of the peer-to-peer market. No official ETA was given on when we can expect the alpha or beta release, but we will keep an eye out for further announcements.
A partnership between SaffronCoin and UnoCoin could be on the horizon, as the SFR dev has been in touch with the UNO founder. The reasoning behind this is to set things in motion in order for SaffronCoin to go mainstream.
A press release will be written by members from both teams, which will be published in some of India’s leading newspapers. On top of that, future developments between both altcoins will be cooperated on as well.
One of the developments could be CryptoXIndia exchange, where you would be able to trade both UnoCoin and SaffronCoin. No further details about this potential exchange platform were announced at this point.
Last but not least, the UnoCoin is willing to provide a way of purchasing SaffronCoin with fiat currency, without using Paypal. This topic will be revisited during future meetings between members of both teams, so we will keep an eye out for more information on that front.
