A few weeks ago, we posted an article talking about how SendChat might integrate Darkcoin into their platform. Things were still up in the air at that point, but it looks like the SendChat team has come to a decision. After a thorough review of the Darkcoin technology, the SendChat team has gone ahead and implement DRK into their messaging platform.
Darkcoin is one of the very few altcoins in existence that show some great promise for 2015. Not just because of their technological prowess in regards to anonymity, but also because of their huge community and incredible developer team. All of these reasons aided SendChat in making their decision to integrate Darkcoin.
SendChat is a messaging application built on top of Telegram, a widely popular social messenger platform which has recently unveiled their Secure Open Source Code. However, it is not just your average chatting program, as SendChat also allows users to send anyone in the world Bitcoin, Sendcoin and now also Darkcoin.
Whether these kinds of social messaging applications will have a big impact on cryptocurrency awareness and adoption remains to be seen, but the team is definitely on the right track so far. Telegram has a network of 50 million registered users, and each and every one of those users can now receive cryptocurrency in the form of BTC, DRK and Sendcoin:
Due to Sendchat’s cross-platform compatibility (Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, Macintosh and even smart watches), Darkcoin will, along with Bitcoin and Sendcoin, reach a global audience which was previously off-limits to them. Definitely a step forward for Darkcoin and its community, but it remains to be seen whether or not it will be beneficial in the long run.
