Social messaging applications will remain an interesting trend to keep an eye on for the next few years, especially considering how several new platforms have integrated cryptocurrency transfers. SendChat is one of the popular projects which not only lets you talk to friends, family and loved ones. but also lets you send Bitcoin, Darkcoin and Dogecoin to anyone in the world. And their crowdfunding is coming to a close in just a few days, so let’s see how that is going.
SendChat Integrates Dogecoin
One of the interesting decisions made by the SendChat team has to be the integration of Dogecoin. DOGE has always been a very popular altcoin, and their community has been responsible for some great promotional and marketing efforts over the past year or so. Oddly enough, no other social messaging platform has considering integration Dogecoin at this point in time.
And it is exactly that vibrant community that has swayed the minds of the SendChat team. Considering how Dogecoin is being looked at “ the easy gateway for novice users to enter the world of Bitcoin and digital currencies” , it seems to be an excellent addition to a platform that lets you send digital currency to anyone else in the world.
Donations and Education
SendChat’s feature of sending cryptocurrency to anyone in the world received another layer of importance when the announcement was made that NGOs and nonprofits could receive in-app donations. Furthermore, NGOs will be able to advertise relevant projects completely free of charge, and incoming transactions will be subject to the lowest fee possible.
The other side of the medallion comes in the form of education about Bitcoin and other digital currencies. SendChat will strive to fund Bitcoin Embassies around the world, in order to push Bitcoin awareness and adoption to new levels. On top of that, Bitcoin Embassies also offer consulting and support for the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency community worldwide.
The SendChat Crowdfunding Campaign
About four weeks ago, the SendChat crowdfunding campaign went live on the BlockTrust platform. In fact, the campaign is coming to an end in little over two days from the time of publication. A total of 55.6 Bitcoin has been raised so far, albeit the team was hoping to get to at least 300 Bitcoin by the end of the crowdfunding campaign. Then again, most people invest in the final hours of these campaigns, so we will see what the end result will be.
For those of you who haven’t heard about the purpose of this campaign, the SendChat team wants to integrate their own currency, called SendCoin. But that is not all, as SendChat also plans to integrate a fiat to cryptocurrency exchange platform built into the application itself, which will also allow for debit and credit card transactions.
