When we take a closer look at the world of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and more specifically altcoins, there seems to be a new trend emerging. Having some form of communicating with other users on the network through chat messages has been around for a while. But what if we had more coins offering VoIP solutions, and even file transfers?
While there are several altcoins out there using a VoIP implementation at this point, such as Korecoin and Viorcoin, it looks like we will be able to add ShadowCash to that list in the near future. The developers have released their updated development roadmap a few days, and a new feature has been announced.
ShadowChat is SDC’s encrypted messaging feature, which is another of those “trends” we have seen over the past six months in the world of cryptocurrency. Sending messages to other users on the network is fun and easy, yet most of us would still prefer to IRC for just that purpose I think.
However, ShadowChat is getting an upgrade over the next few weeks, as more functionality will be added to this feature. Support for Voice calls, Video chat and File Transfer will be added , and is scheduled for release at the end of November/early December by the looks of it.
It is also interesting to note that, like other ShadowCash features, this means the updated ShadowChat functionalities will also be available in the HTML5 and ShadowGo wallets. For those of you who are unaware, ShadowGo wallets are the SDC Android/iOS wallets which have been released a while ago.
I have added the updated ShadowCash development roadmap below :
