ShadowCoin has been on the mind of a lot of people ever since this altcoin launched a while ago. Even though they have developed some very interesting features, the team was looking to get more brand recognition. It looks like they found a Community Manager!
Oddly enough, their Community Manager is someone whom I know personally, as we went to Bitcoin 2014 in Amsterdam together. Soepkip is his name, and you may remember the name from the previous altcoin he was associated with : BlackCoin.
During his stint over at BlackCoin, Soepkip has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the world of cryptocurrency, and will therefore be an invaluable addition to the ShadowCoin team. He also brings some interesting business and personal relationships to the table.
He also released a statement yesterday, which I have quoted below :
“After BC, I was looking for a new project. My strengths lie within building up a new community by creating and managing a team of like-minded people. Shadow seemed like the next logical choice after working with BlackCoin.
What really drew me to the Shadow Project was their commitment to advanced cryptography. Their zk-SNARKs implementation will bring real anonymity within the realm of crypto currencies. Not only that, the encrypted messaging service ‘ShadowChat’ makes private P2P communication a reality. I have no doubt that these foundations will shape the future of crypto-currencies, especially in countries with overbearing surveillance programs.
In the past week, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Shadow’s core team and we’ve spoken daily about the goals within Shadow. Now, let’s focus on building the Shadow community around the future of financial privacy and personal liberty.” – Soepkip
Over the coming weeks, we will see more of Soepkip and what he can do for the ShadowCoin team and community. I’m definitely interested to see how this will all play out, and I would personally like to wish him the best of luck with the new position!
