There have been some very interesting developments going on for SuperCoin. Not only did the block rewards halve for the very first time, there is also a mandatory client update, as well as the SuperCoin Anon Whitepaper. Let’s go!
Block Reward Halving
It was previously announced that there would be a SuperCoin block reward halving very soon. As it stands right now, the block reward dropped from 512 SUPER to 256 SUPER. Keep in mind there will be another block halving in roughly 10 days of mining.
Mandatory Client Update
In our previous SuperCoin article, we already mentioned there is a mandatory client update to version 1.2. The updated SuperCoin client is now available for Windows, Macintosh and Linux users, and can be found here.
SuperCoin Anon Whitepaper
The SuperCoin Anon Feature Whitepaper has been released, answering some of the most common questions about anon features in general, and what SuperCoin’s approach will be.There will be two phases to SuperCoin’s take on anonymity :
“Phase-1. To achieve anonymous wallet with a simplified, and easy to implement system
Phase-2. To implement a fully decentralized peer-to-peer anonymous system”
You can find the SuperCoin Anon Whitepaper here.
Interesting things are happening for SuperCoin. I’m personally still not a fan of anonymity features in Crypto as it is absolutely useless in my opinion. It is good to see how different coins try different approaches though, even if it’s not something I’m interested in.
