With all of the fallout in regards to Moolah’s announcement earlier today, the first thing in my mind was : “What happens to SysCoin’s presale funds?” Apparently I wasn’t the only one thinking along those lines, as the developers have released an update in regards to the funds. Oh, and RC3 of the new SysCoin client is now available!
As things stand right now, Moolah, who provided the escrow for SysCoin’s presale a while ago, still holds 67% of the collected 1,500 Bitcoin. A full release of the funds is currently being negotiated between both parties, in order to continue with the planned development of SYS.
(Note from the author : I did see Moolah’s new blog post a few minutes ago, so from the looks of it, there should be no problem releasing the presale funds to the SysCoin team. Do keep in mind this is just my opinion and NOT a confirmed fact at this point.)
In other SysCoin news, the new Public Release Candidate for SYS client 0.1.5 has been released earlier today. Any issues are still to be reported in the dedicated forum, and make sure to backup your wallet.dat file before using the new client.
SendToAlias no longer requires the sender to enter a valid SYS address in the “value” field in SysCoin 01.1.5 RC3. Transactions will always reach the other party’s wallet, whether that field contains a value or not.
This change in protocol is available for all transaction types including service transactions. Aliases can now be dual purposes thanks to the SendToAlias changes. Funds can be sent to any aliases owned by the receiver, and he/she will receive the funds, aliases, et cetera!
