Time for another update from the SysCoin team, as they are currently collecting feedback in regards to their Release Candidate Program. Even though the feedback window for RC2 is due to close in a few hours, it seems like RC3 has been postponed. Let’s take a look!
A bug has been discovered in the 0.1.5 version of SysCoin’s client, which apparently has been in the code since version 0.1.4c. It will take a bit of time to fix the issue, and test it properly of course, but all of this is expected to done by October 5th.
What we can tell you about this bug is that it affects both encrypted wallets and SysCoin services trying to interact with encrypted wallets. This bug could impact all SysCoin-related services eventually, and is therefore labelled as critical.
No exact details about the bug have been provided at this time, except that it appears to be a critical issue. We will receive another update from the SYS developers early next week, which will hopefully contain additional information.
Do keep in mind that pushing back the release of RC3 will not impact other ongoing SysCoin projects. A “developer toolbox” is currently being created as part of the SYS promotional effort. Some of the tools in this “developer toolbox” can be found here.
