Altcoin news are still slim pickings these days, but that was to be expected with the holidays and all. Either way, we have some more updates in regards to the development of Syscoin. Nothing major so far, but at least work is being done and projects are getting closer to completion. Let’s take a peek, shall we?
First of all, for those of you who may have missed the announcement, there is now a Syscoin Slack group! Slack is a very easy-to-use platform where you can keep up wit the greatest and latest Syscoin news, and you can even enable desktop notifications if you wish to do so.
However, the SYS IRC channel will not be abandoned, but both IRC and Slack are now tied closely together. Thanks to the development of a Slack ⇐> IRC bridge, anything mentioned on IRC will show up on Slack and vice versa. One thing that is not working, is using the IRC tip bot in Slack, and using Slack does not make you an active user eligible for IRC tip bot rains either.
This crossover bridge between both platforms is just an experiment and goes to show what can be done with a little bit of coding. The developers are working on ironing out some of the wrinkles currently to be found in this bridge. After all, it is better to have two information hubs instead of one, as this decentralizes the information instead of centralizing it.
In other development news, there are two projects being actively worked on as of right now. I am sure more projects are in development as well, but there were the only ones referenced to by Danosphere for the time being.
Both the BlockMarket and the Syscoin V2 Wallet are slowly but surely coming to completion as we speak. However, the addition of more C++ developers will definitely help speed things up, regardless of whether they want to join the team or just work in exchange for bounties.
