A new crypto currency has been released today, called “AIDEN”. Most interesting is the new type of Scrypt algorithm used to mine this coin.

We have had Scrypt, Scrypt-N, Scrypt-Jane so far, which are all decent algorithms. Today however, Scrypt-OG was added to that list.

Scrypt-OG is kind of like Scrypt-N, except that the N-factor doesn’t change, it will always remain 6. This has some benefits for the miners.

For starters, your GPU will run cooler, and it also reduces the “stress” on your GPU’s memory when mining AIDEN.  Read more...
