Another week has passed for the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) community and as usual, there’s been a bunch of announcements and developments. BCH supporters this week saw the release of a multi-party onchain escrow system, Ethereum cofounder Vitalik Buterin discussed using the BCH chain as a data layer, and more BCH-accepting merchants were onboarded.

In recent news pertaining to cryptocurrency exchanges, Glen Oaks Escrow has announced that it has partnered with Bitpay to support cryptocurrency payments and Binance has revealed that it will delist bytecoin, chatcoin, iconomi and triggers next month. Etoro, meanwhile, has announced a “significant cut” in the spreads on cryptocurrency markets on its platform.

As Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies gain popularity as a mode of payment transfer, it has become common for the average Bitcoin user to be scammed by an anonymous identity who requests payment for some work is then never heard from again. The decentralized nature of cryptos certainly has a tradeoff – unlike a credit card or bank transaction that can be reverted, a cryptocurrency transfer once confirmed is permanently recorded on the Blockchain.
