Let’s start off this new day of article writing with a small update from ShadowCash. After the release of their ShadowLite client, which you can find out more about in this article, they have now been added to a new exchange!
Poloniex has opened up a SDC/BTC market on their platform, and it is good to see them getting in on the altcoin action again. So far, there is not too much trading volume on this trading pair yet, but it’s still early days.
Today could be a very big day for the ShadowCoin community, as the developers have released their SDC lite wallet, called ShadowLite. Even though this update is not mandatory, I think we do need to take a closer look at what ShadowLite brings to the table.
It is advisedm however, that if you are running the SDC client as a “full node”, you should install the lite client in order to support the “lite nodes” on the network. So what is new in this ShadowLite client?
ShadowCoin has been on the mind of a lot of people ever since this altcoin launched a while ago. Even though they have developed some very interesting features, the team was looking to get more brand recognition. It looks like they found a Community Manager!
Oddly enough, their Community Manager is someone whom I know personally, as we went to Bitcoin 2014 in Amsterdam together. Soepkip is his name, and you may remember the name from the previous altcoin he was associated with : BlackCoin.
Time for some updates from the ShadowCoin developer, as they have posted a new roadmap for their cryptocurrency, updated the regular client, released the iOS client, and so much more. Where do we even begin?
We might as well start with the ShadowGo iOS wallet then, shall we? The first ShadowGo iOS version was released a little over a week ago, which was followed the day after by a wallet update, which included some enhancements to background threading, as well as some cosmetic updates.
The ShadowCoin developers never cease t amaze me when you check in on their progress over the past days. Their Android wallet, called ShadowGo, has been released, and it is the first Android wallet to support mobile staking!
Even though there are currently several altcoins working on releasing an Android wallet which supports mobile staking, ShadowCoin beat them to the punch. ShadowGo might not show up yet in the Google Play Store, but you can download the APK here.
However, mobile staking is not the only interesting feature about ShadowGo, as you can also use both encrypted messaging and stealth transfers! All the regular ShadowCoin client functionalities are at your disposal, wherever you go.
More announcements are being made by the ShadowCoin developers, which is very good news if you are part of this altcoin’s community. ShadowGo is a new project they are currently working on, so let’s take a look at what it all entails.
ShadowGo could be a very interesting and intriguing project to be honest, as it is the first ever fully scalable & functional mobile wallet. This is the first mobile wallet which support mobile staking as a working feature.
Other ShadowCoin features are also available, as both ShadowChat and ShadowSend can be used with ShadowGo. With these features enabled, ShadowGo becomes a full-fledged private mobile Proof-of-Stake wallet.
Some more minor updates have been posted by Rynomster, the ShadowCoin developer, in regards to ShadowSend and the Encrypted Messaging system. Let’s see what has been announced and discussed.
Let’s start off with the Encrypted Messaging system, which has received a small cosmetic update. Rich text has been introduced to this EM system, and as a result, a new ShadowCoin client has been released. This is an optional update, which can be downloaded here.
In other SDC news, the ShadowSend testing has been completed, and the feature now has a release date. As of this writing, ShadowSend will be released on Thursday the 7th of August. We will keep an eye out for any further updates in that regard.
Even though we already did a ShadowCoin article earlier , some breaking news was announced yesterday, which I apparently overlooked, which deserves a separate article in my opinion. Besides, we need content, so the more the merrier, right?
You may remember that the ShadowCoin developer announced how we would see more features being rolled out over the course of the coming days and weeks. Earlier today, the ShadowSend feature was announced!
In the upcoming SDC wallet release, we will see anonymous stealth addresses which can be used for this altcoin. As far as the developers know, ShadowCoin will be the first open-source C++ implementation of Anonymous Stealth Addresses using OpenSSL.
Time to get some more articles posted today, even though I don’t exactly have tons of time these days, but we’ll see how far we can get. The ShadowCoin developer has introduced himself to the cryptocurrency community, so let’s start with that!
As a lot of people still keep a close eye on what ShadowCoin is doing, the developer decided to step up and reveal some bits of information about himself. The SDC developer is the same person (together with his team) who built the encrypted messaging platform for CinniCoin.
Time for some more news in regards to ShadowCoin, as this remains to be one very interesting altcoin to watch development-wise. They now have a dedicated forum for all things related to ShadowCoin, and a new client has been made available!
The reason for this new ShadowCoin client is because there were some minor bugs that popped up after the previous version was released. You can grab the updated client from this link. Even though we only discussed ShadowCoin for the very first time yesterday (click here), there is more ShadowCoin news. Or to be more precise, there now is actual ShadowCoin news. Let’s take a peek at what has been announced.
The ShadowCoin team apparently consists of several highly qualified developers, which is always good to hear. They are all working on this altcoin full-time , and we can expect some innovative features in the near future. No promises or a roadmap should be expected, but features will be announced and released once they are completed.
Since every other tweet on my feed seems to be about Shadowcoin, a recently launched altcoin, I guess we should do an article about it. We do try to keep up with the current trends, so here we go. ShadowCoin it is!
It has been a while since we saw an altcoin being launched with a mining schedule that lasted over a week. Keeping in mind ShadowCoin is also a Scrypt coin, I might just fire up my ZeusMiner Blizzard Scrypt ASIC.
