BlueWallet Brings Lightning Network to Apple Smartwatch With New App

Popular Bitcoin and Lightning Network wallet BlueWallet has released a smartwatch-compatible version of their wallet app, the first attempt to bring Lightning support to the Apple hardware.

The developers announced this new app on Twitter, briefly describing some of its functionality. Giving users the same utility as BlueWallet’s mobile iteration, the new app packs plenty of use on such a small device.

Fossil Shares See New Life after Firm Sells Smartwatch Tech to Google

Watchmaker Fossil Group’s shares spiked today on news it had sold some of its smartwatch technology to Google in a deal worth $ 40 million. Announced today and expected to close in January, the deal launched Fossil’s share price as high as 10%. By close, though, it had ebbed back to $ 18.00 for a single-day gain

Aegis Bitcoin Wallet Now Available for Android Wear Despite Limited Functionality

One of the more interesting things I read today , on a personal level that is, is about the ability to have your Bitcoin wallet running on your smartwatch. Even though I do not own a smartwatch (yet), the idea itself intrigues me, so I decided to find out more.

A lot of Bitcoin enthusiasts will know the Aegis Bitcoin wallet, which is available for all kinds of Android devices, and iOS support is coming soon according to the website. The developer of this wallet has now made it available for Android Wear as well, and dubbed it Aegis Wallet Wear. Read more...
