Regardless of which service or platform you are using in the world of Bitcoin and digital currency, security plays an increasingly important role in our lives. The problem is that most of us have gotten accustomed to doing things a certain way that compromise security in multiple ways. But, when it comes to social messaging, SendChat is on the right track to change that situation, as they have partnered with BlockTrail.
Social messaging applications will remain an interesting trend to keep an eye on for the next few years, especially considering how several new platforms have integrated cryptocurrency transfers. SendChat is one of the popular projects which not only lets you talk to friends, family and loved ones. but also lets you send Bitcoin, Darkcoin and Dogecoin to anyone in the world. And their crowdfunding is coming to a close in just a few days, so let’s see how that is going.
SendChat Integrates Dogecoin
A few weeks ago, we posted an article talking about how SendChat might integrate Darkcoin into their platform. Things were still up in the air at that point, but it looks like the SendChat team has come to a decision. After a thorough review of the Darkcoin technology, the SendChat team has gone ahead and implement DRK into their messaging platform.
Darkcoin is one of the very few altcoins in existence that show some great promise for 2015. Not just because of their technological prowess in regards to anonymity, but also because of their huge community and incredible developer team. All of these reasons aided SendChat in making their decision to integrate Darkcoin.
While we have written a lot of articles about GEMS over the past few months, there is still a ton of information that deserve some public attention. As is to be expected with such a major project, there are all kinds of questions popping up which could be relevant to some people out there. Let’s take a look at some of the most recently answered questions which piqued my interest.
Even though GEMS is making the headlines left, right and center across various cryptocurrency news outlets, there are certain aspects most people are not paying enough attention to if you ask me. GEMS is bringing some unique feature to the table, which no competitor is currently working on. Yet these features get overlooked quite often, so let’s do a quick recap.
Counterparty Mobile Wallet
Time for another small update from the OPAL development team. No major announcements have been made at this point in time, due to the main developer needing to study for his finals. However, some upcoming features and plans have been touched upon, so let’s take a look at those.
The first project being talked about, is the Opalcoin HTML5 wallet which is currently in development, and expected to be released relatively soon. As of this writing, the OPAL HTML5 wallet is being tested by a select group of members, and so far, everything seems to be running smoothly.
In our previous articles, we have mentioned a few times how the GEMS presale will take place on Koinify in the near future. Everything is preparing for launch, and the tokens will be sold under the ticker XGEM. When will this all take place, you are all wondering?
December 1st 2014 9:00 PST will be the kickoff date and time for the XGEM presale on Koinify. Early birds will be treated to a special, as the initial rate will be 17,250 XGEM per Bitcoin, which will only last for the 48 hours of the public presale. Prior to this public sale, a small number of invites will be sent out to early supporters and subscribers of Koinify and Gems newsletter, who will receive the same early bird rate.
We have already talked about GEMS several times in the past, and today we are touching upon the subject again. Screenshots of the GEMS social messaging application have been released, as well as a small demo video showing off the application when it’s being used.
I have to admit, when I first saw the screenshots, I really wanted to download the application right away and start using it. Unfortunately I only own Android devices, and that version of the GEMS social messaging app is currently still under development.
Gems is a name that is on the mind of many crypto enthusiasts around the world. As Gems is a new social messaging app, which will reward its users in cryptocurrency, it could very well become a major competitor for more established applications such as WhatsApp. Oh, and all of their communication will be encrypted by using Bitcoin-based tokens!
Even though we label Gems as a social messaging app, it offers far more functionality than just letting users send messages to one another. Gems uses a secure network for encrypted chat, while using cryptocurrency for in-app purchases. Furthermore, the application allows users to send coins to each other as well.
One of the most interesting projects of Q4 2014 will be the Gems social messaging application. For those of you who have not yet heard of Gems, this social messaging platform will bring revenue back to the people using it, making Gems the very first Social Currency Network.
There will be a Public Sell in order to initially distribute the supply of 100,000,000 GEMS, which will take place at Koinify. The Gems pre-sale will be the very first of its kind to be hosted by Koinify, making this a very unique event.
