It’s not often I laugh out loud when people ask me to write an article about a particular coin. However, when that altcoin is called TitCoin, I giggle like a 13-year-old. Either way, let’s see what TitCoin brings to the… erh… what were we talking about again? Cryptocurrency, right!
When it comes to the one area where cryptocurrency really thrives, it’s the adult entertainment business. Even though we have several altcoins fighting over that space, it wouldn’t hurt to have one more, and TitCoin looks to get in on the action.
TitCoin was announced well in advance to its launch, which may have been exactly what they need to succeed in the adult business. In order to succeed, we will need a commerce solution for TitCoin, which is exactly what the developers are working on at this point in time.
So who makes up the TitCoin Foundation? A group of people with experience in financial services, technology, and perhaps most importantly, marketing! And they are an ambitious group of people as well if you ask me.
The plan is to have an open exchange, free from any government regulation and without high transaction fees among different currencies, In order to do so, a cryptocurrency needs to display some actual value and usability. The TitCoin Foundation worked hard to create value before the coin even launched, which is commendable.
An interesting article on TitCoin was released before launch, which you can find here. If you are interested in an interview with the TIT developers, you might want to check this URL. There is also an interesting social media contest going on about TitCoin, which can be found here.
However, the list of actual publications concerning TitCoin is a lot longer. Check this out :
Men’s Health Magazine
Time to take a look at TitCoin’s technical specifications :
Block Reward: 69 coins
Block Time: 1 minutes (60 seconds)
Total Coins: 69,000,000
Retarget: Every block (DigiShield)
Halving Interval: 500,000 blocks
Did you know TitCoin can be traded on a lot of different exchanges? AllCoin, BitTrex, BleuTrade, Cryptex, KingCoiny and RockyTrade all have TitCoin/Bitcoin trading pairs listed. Maybe we will see it on Cryptsy or MintPal next, who knows?
However, in order to make TitCoin actually usable, you need some support in the commerce department. No less than four different payment processors support TIT at this point in time : CoinPayments, CoinShipIt, CoinToPay and Casheer (coming soon).
