Would you like some more Syscoin news? I know you do, so let’s get right to it then! No update in regards to the legal battle with Ryan Kennedy at this point I’m afraid, but I am certain Selachii LLP solicitors are doing everything they can to get the matter resolved as quickly as possible. Do keep in mind that building a legal case against someone is a lengthy task, so it will take a while before we see the end result.
What I do want to talk about is the new Syscoin client update, as it has been finally released! As most of you SYS enthusiasts will know, Release Candidate was made available for testing recently, and after community feedback it has been promoted to production release.
Alias interfaces are included in this wallet update, and documentation on how this works exactly will be made available in the near future. ‘Purchasing’ an alias takes 120 block confirmations before the alias is ‘confirmed’.
Other Syscoin projects are also in the works, so let’s do a rundown of what is being worked on as of this writing. BlockMarket , Syscoin’s decentralized marketplace technology is already working at the console level, and a working beta can be expected at the end of November.
SysPricePeg is an innovative tool giving users the option of seeing Syscoin Marketplace offers in either cryptocurrency or fiat currency values. These values will then be automatically converted to the equivalent amount of SYS at the time of sale. A release for SysPricePeg has been announced as well, which will be at some point this month.
Another unique project we have been covering on CryptoArticles is SYYK, a proof-of-concept application exploring options of storing/sending/managing messages on the SYS blockchain using the the Syscoin data services.
Sphericon, a Syscoin community member, has created the first ever Marketplace website front end built on top of the Syscoin Marketplace service. Keep in mind this project is still in alpha stage, and you can read more about it in our article here.
The Syscoin developers are looking ahead and have begun developing the next client update, which will be version 0.1.6. The development roadmap will be updated later tonight, so expect a new article tomorrow!
