Time for some more articles today. URO, the altcoin with the biggest love/hate relationship amongst media outlets it seems, is hosting its very own cryptocurrency event. Even though this was supposed to remain a secret for a little while longer, someone managed to elark the information.
Regardless of whoever leaked the information though, the URO event will be called UROSE, which will take place in Hong Kong at the end of October. UROSE stands for URO Special Event. Anagrams don’t need to be complicated all the time.
The main goal behind UROSE is to present new products and services in the URO ecosystem, as well as providing a place to understand and discuss the altcoin as a currency. The decentralized UREA exchange network will also be given a spotlight.
What makes this event so interesting to me, is the fact that everyone involved with URO will be present. Representatives from Green Earth Systems, UROEX, Uro Foundation, as well as other companies such as BlockCypher and Bitcoin Cambodia (among others) will attend UROSE.
Media members (including myself) have received an invitation to the event, but I’m still undecided on whether or not I will be attending. Not just because of the costs involved (which I will get some help with, for which I’m thankful) , but it’s more of a planning issue at the moment, so I’ll see what can be done.
Bitcoinist has conducted an interview in regards to UROSE, which you can find here.
Later today, we will tweet out a link to do another “community asks the questions” interview with the URO Foundation about UROSE. Make sure to keep an eye on Twitter, and if you have a question, feel free to put it in the document.
