Over the past few days, I have been keeping an eye on the progress of Viorcoin. A little birdy told me there would be a wallet update soon, which was scheduled to include video chat functionality for the VoIP feature. We have received some more details in regards to that matter, so let’s take a look what is cooking!
The Viorcoin video chat feature has been a work in progress for a while now, and the actual release date announcement had been delayed a bit because of a persistent bug which caused the new client to crash when trying to video chat with other users. Thanks to the help of an external developer, this bug has now been fixed, and the video wallet will be released tomorrow.
Video chat in your new VIOR client will start automatically when calling another video wallet, and two video windows will be opened. On one screen, you will see the user you are calling, while the other screen holds your very own webcam video feed. This is very interesting if you ask me, as it allows for you to check your video quality etc, without having to rely on the other person.
We have received a screenshot demonstrating VIOR’s video chat functionality , which you can see below :
In other Viorcoin news, several people are still experiencing wallet synchronization issues , while other users’ wallets sync fine. The VIOR developer is still looking into this, and once he has found a safe way to sort the problem, a mandatory client update will be released. We will keep an eye out for more information regarding this matter.
