In previous articles we talked about diversification and versatility. Both components are crucial for companies and businesses alike and as such, need to be incorporated into their business strategies. In recent years the financial crisis hit us all pretty hard but more so the local and small businesses. The massive lay-offs, the high percentage bankruptcy of small businesses all had an effect on our communities.
Now let’s fast forward to the Coinsummit event we attended in London. We knew of the existence of compact handheld modules like Coinkite (with a special thanks to our friend Michael Morris for demonstrating how the Coinkite handheld works). But when we met Aleksander Nowak and his friends, we were utterly blown away by their product.
It is easily definable as some kind of payment device plus it’s white. Aleksander Nowak demonstrated XBTerminal on the Coinsummit startup showcase on day 2. It was extremely easy to use and can be implemented in every business around the world provided they have some form of internet connection.
We especially liked the easy-to-use features. This is exactly what a small shop owner is looking for. He or she wants to go with the trends and have products and payment methods that the competitors do not necessarily have but that is also easy to use. This will make their business look unique and quite hip.
That is where we feel XBTerminal are going to be used for. It is an easy to use platform that is very low cost, creates a diversification in the small business funds, sets the small business apart from its competitors etc. This will create a more stable base for the small company/shop to grow and get the necessary fund it needs to be able to grow.
Because of its easy to use features this handheld payment terminal is extremely well suited for the small business holders. If that business expands to bigger proportions, XBTerminal is still versatile enough to provide payment options in that scenario.
However for the middle companies and bigger shops or shop chains the Coinkite could be also an option. Still some critics have pointed out that the Coinkite handheld terminal is too complicated to use.
When you see it actually working it is not that hard or “difficult” as the critics of the Coinkite device want you to believe. Every new technology can be labelled as “not easy to use” or “complicated” in the beginning but once you know what to do it isn’t all that hard.
The XBTerminal is much lighter in weight than the Coinkite device but both devices work marvellously. The main difference between the two is the price range. The XBTerminal devices will be available for a fraction of the costs of a CoinKite device (849 GBP after taxes).
Nevertheless we will also do an article about the Coinkite handheld terminal in a couple of days So stay tuned.
