I have heard a lot of people talking about a new platform called zenMINER, a cloud mining platform, over the past few days. As we are always on the lookout for new services that can make us money I decided to look into it a bit more.
Even though there are already several cloud mining platforms available, the reason zenMINER piqued my interest is because it should be the most profitable one. Considering my previous experiences with cloud mining have never been profitable before, I was a bit skeptical at first.
In order to get started with zenMINER, it’s not just a matter of buying a cloud mining contract from them directly. All mining is done through the cloud, but you need to purchase the hashpower from one of their partners, or through zenMINER Cloud.
So what kind of hardware is providing the hashpower for cloud mining? zenMINER makes use of Hashlets, which are very compact Scrypt or Bitcoin mining devices. They look pretty cute if you ask me, as far as that term can be applied to mining hardware.
These hashlets can be purchased through zenMINER Cloud once you have created an account. To show you what I mean, I took a screenshot of my account :
As you can see, the prices are quite different depending on which type you choose. The ones I purchased are ZenHashlets, which will mine Scrypt coins. All of the ones mine Scrypt coins too, except for the HashletGenesis, as that is a Bitcoin miner.
If you prefer, you can also purchase these Hashlets from zenMINER partners, either GAWMiners or ZeusMiner I purchased two ZenHashlets from GAWMiners, each mining at 5 MHs, costing me roughly half a Bitcoin at the time of payment.
It is worth noting that buying Hashlets through zenMINER Cloud means you can only pay in Bitcoin. Purchasing a Hashlet from GAWMiners allows you to pay either in Bitcoin, Litecoin or DogeCoin.
Once you have paid for GAWMiners order, you will receive a confirmation email with the ZenHashlets activation codes. Simply log in to your zenMINER Cloud account, click on “Miners” on the left hand side, and select Redeem ZenHardware code. Enter your code(s) one by one, and your miners will be added instantly. No set up required either, as they will hash away on the ZenPool right away.
Bitcoin earnings are credited to your account once every day, so we will post a new article tomorrow to see how much we earned in our first few hours of mining on ZenPool. You can either withdraw earnings to your wallet, or use them to auto-purchase more Hashlets, which is how I have set it up for now.
Once you are done with your Hashlets, or in case it is taking too long to achieve a ROI, users can sell their Hashlets again. I’m not sure how this works yet, but I will look into it further and let our readers know in tomorrow’s update.
