Well it didn’t take too long before someone started scamming people for Earthcoin. As Earthcoin has seen a popularity surge since it’s release, and the fact they are on Cryptsy , combined with them winning the CoinPayments Coin Vote Poll, it was only a matter of time.
The “Earthcoin Online Wallet” provided by “Instant-Wallet.com” is a clear scam attempt. The website itself has been taken offline by the owner, and a few thousand Earthcoin were stolen from users.
However, we are certain that the Earthcoin development team will be developing their own secure online wallet service in the future, to protect all Earthcoin users’ money.
Always be wary of new services, especially created by non-reputable users.

Because of this, it is about a lot more than "a few thousand".
When i asked a compensation for this, they told me i should mine again (lol?), and when i insisted someone from the dev team mocked me
EAC is trash and i’m pretty sure i’m not the only one wanting this coin dead. I will push the price down and hurt this coin reputation when i feel like and forever.
