Usually we try to keep our articles as objective as possible. However, sometimes even we can’t let certain aspects slide.
Take BitNote for example : a new Scrypt coin, which calls itself “semi-rare”, with a maximum of 10 million coins.
So far, no issues or remarks really.
However, there is a 5.9% pre-mine. That right there pretty much destroys a coin when it launches. There is no way you can justify a near 6% pre-mine.
Even by saying “so many are for giveways, so many for for bounties, and the rest for developmental work”, people stopped caring when they saw the 5.9% I’m afraid.
Although there is a 0 mining difficulty at launch, there is no way people will take BitNote seriously.
