With so many altcoins out there, it’s becoming very hard to keep up with creating .bat files for all pools & configurations.
It surelwould be a hell of a lot easier if you could just rent someone’s hashpower for a fixed price, and point it to whatever pool you desire, right?
Luckily for us, BetaRigs is making this a possibility. You can either rent or lease a mining rig, and get paid in Bitcoin.
We took the test by renting out my 7970’s hashpower, which , while undervolted, provides a stable 630 khash/second. We set up the price at 0.0125 Bitcoin per 24 hours, which we thought was fair.
Configuring your miner for leasing is very easy, just edit your current .bat file with an extra line of code for the BetaRigs mining pool, restart your miner, and you’ll be on your way.
Every so often, your mining software will check for the BetaRigs server, to see if anyone has rented your rig and if they entered their desired pool’s details.
If no one rents your rig right away, you’ll just keep mining whatever coin and pool you want to. Once someone does rent your rig, servers will be switched over automatically for the duration of the contract.
Our test run was very fun and we had no big issues at all. The Bitcoin payment from BetaRigs came in about 24 hours after completion of the mining contract.
It’s worth your while to give BetaRigs a try, and see how it goes for you!
