I have to get something off my chest. I enjoy reading news, as well as writing articles about news. One thing I really have an issue with is “marketing” news headlines. To be more precise, trying to report on a hot topic, but with inadequate or incomplete information, thus misleading the reader. If you are unfamiliar with the subject, please do some more research before writing up a story that is partially, if not completely, incorrect and misguiding.
Let’s get down to business though. According to various, otherwise reputable, news sources, the sole reason behind the recent Bitcoin value rise is because of Zynga. For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, Zynga has announced they are EXPERIMENTING with Bitcoin as a payment method for their in-game micro transactions.
As you can see from the usage of capital letters, the key word here is EXPERIMENTING. No one has ever said they are using it, or will ever use it. Only Castleville and Farmville 2 are games mentioned to participate in this EXPERIMENTING phase, with no word on other current or future games still in development,….. There simply are too many unanswered questions at this point in time.
It is completely out of context to state that the Bitcoin value has increased because Zynga is “accepting” Bitcoin. They are NOT accepting Bitcoin , yet. They are TESTING the possibilities. For all we know, it will be months or years before they make their final decision.
It’s entirely possible that, because of this misguided reporting , a small Bitcoin hype has been created. However, this would not warrant such an increase in the Bitcoin value, not by a long shot. That’s wishful thinking, to put it mildly.
We at CryptoArticles will keep you updated on the whole Zynga-Bitcoin EXPERIMENT. It is time someone reported the situation as it is, without any BS or misguidance. That’s what we at CryptoArticles try to achieve each and every day, and we thank our readers for their continued support.
