A few days ago, we were treated to the Quark Android wallet. This software is currently still in beta, but as they were looking for feedback, we gave it a try.
First of all, the Quark Android wallet isn’t available in any official app store at this moment. There is, however, a direct download link from the GitHub page. (Click here)
Installation of the Quark Android wallet is easy and doesn’t require any special permissions, so users who don’t root their phone (like myself), won’t have any problems installing the app.
As soon as the Quark Android wallet has been installed and running, the blockchain will download immediately. This takes roughly around 30 minutes to complete, and doesn’t slow down your phone by much.
A small note has to be made here that the blockchain download will occur regardless of whether you’re on mobile data or Wi-Fi, so be careful.
Sending and receiving money through the Quark Android wallet is simple and easy, no issues to report here.
You also have the option to scan QR codes with the Quark Android wallet. Personally, I didn’t test this out yet, but from what we can gather, it seems to work pretty well.
