MintPal is a new exchange , and, not unlike CoinMarket, it’s starting out very small by listing a few coins that aren’t traded on any other exchange.
The first two coins added to MintPal are PenguinCoin and KarmaCoin. Personally I haven’t heard of KarmaCoin, but we’ll do some research on it and get back to you.
Registration on MintPal is quite easy and doesn’t take more than a few minutes to complete. The exchange itself runs smooth so far, but there isn’t too much volume yet.
We can only hope that the team behind MintPal have implemented a tighter security compared to some of the “other” new exchanges we have seen popping up lately.
The biggest hurdle for MintPal might actually be marketing the exchange’s name. “Mint” comes from “MInting” , or “Mining” I’d assume. Pal as in “buddy” or “friend”. So it’s your mining buddy!?
Mining coins and exchanging them do go hand in hand, so there definitely is something to “MintPal” becoming a trendable name…. Hmm!
