In case you wouldn’t have heard of Lamassu, they are a company based out of Iceland, producing and delivering Bitcoin ATM machines.
One of the many things that makes these Lamassu Bitcoin ATMs so attractive, is that they don’t require a license fee. However, there may be regulatory requirements, so always check with your count(r)y’s jurisdiction first.
The reason why we are discussing Lamassu’s fine machinery is because we have received a copy of an e-mail, in which Matthew Carano, Operations Director of Lamassu, says they are looking to add support for Litecoin.
Yup, the Lamassu ATMs will soon be able to work with both Bitcoin and Litecoin. As these two were the “complementary” coins from the beginning, it seems like a smart and logical step.
So that’s great news for the Litecoin community and all, but what about other altcoins?
Nothing to worry, as the same e-mail states “We’ll add other altcoins based on demand”. A positive attitude towards raising global awareness for multiple cryptocurrencies, I like that!
A very bright future for Litecoin is ahead, as these Lamassu machines add Litecoin support “in the near future”.
Check out the official Lamassu website ! (And maybe send them a tweet @lamassubtc)
