When using a multipool for mining, you have so many options available lately. It almost seems as, within a year or so, there won’t be any regular mining pools left….
When you do use a Scrypt multipool however, it’s hard to find one that is actually profitable, or has any profitable coins being mined. Thanks to IPOMiner, I came to mining AsiaCoin, which is one of the most profitable crypto currencies to mine as of right now.
So what is AsiaCoin about? Is it another one of those “50% pre-mine to distribute amongst the citizens of all of Asia”? Or maybe another favourite , “we have an IPO, invest Bitcoin now & we’ll send you some (soon to be) worthless coins!” Nope, AsiaCoin is neither in fact.
AsiaCoin is created with one thing in mind : to help investors and miners in Asia through these hard times. While that might not be the most original idea in years, at least it doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t.
Having launched since yesterday, AsiaCoin seems to have gotten quite the following in a very short timespan already. Maybe it’s because of the fact they didn’t do an IPO or pre-mine? Who knows?
AsiaCoin is a hybrid PoW/PoS Scrypt crypto currency, with a coin supply vap of 360,000,000 AC. The block reward is at 10,000 AC, and difficulty will adjust after every block. Block rewards will halve every week. Once the block reward decreased to 2,000 AC per block, there will be no further PoW blocks accepted. This will take approximately two weeks.
What is interesting to note though, is that 150,000,000 of the 360,000,000 AsiaCoins will be mined. After that, the PoS stage will kick in, and mining becomes “nearly obsolete”. Staking will give you an annual interest rate of 100%,and from year 2, this will be lowered to only 2%. The minimum stake age is 2 weeks, with no maximum stake age.
As far as exchanges go, you can buy and/or sell AsiaCoin on the following exchanges : BitTrex, CryptoAltEx, Swaphole & CoinAccel. I personally prefer to use BitTrex over any of the others, but that’s just a matter of opinion.
AsiaCoin could be a very interesting coin to keep your eye on. I’m definitely mining some of it , because you never know how valuable it might become.
You can check out the official AsiaCoin thread on BitcoinTalk, as well as the official AsiaCoin website.
So can you explain how the POS would work over 5 years on 1 million coins? Can you also tell me if coins used for transactions count as POS?
Any coins in your AsiaCoin wallet which have been there for at least two weeks will count toward PoS.
This does mean however that, if you receive a transaction, that amount from that transaction ahas to be untouched for at least two weeks.
1 million coins would give you 100% stake in year one, so after 1 year, you’ld have 2 million coins. After year 2 you’ld have 2,040,000 coins (2% stake), after year 3 2,080,800 , after year 4 2,122,,416 coins, and after year 5 2,164,864.32 coins.
What price will asia coin level out at?I seems very risky to buy right now.
Rubbish coin that sank in value immeadiately wiping out almost all my BTC and then went up and down like a pump and dump until now worth nothing
