It appears as if sporting event fundraisers are being looked at by multiple crypto currencies these days. Last week, we reported on DogeCoin supporting a race car and an MMA fighter, and this week, it seems like MaxCoin wants to have their own race car as well.
Should you wish to become a sponsor of MaxCoin Racing Team, you are entitled to rewards such as t-shirts, hats, artwork, VIP Hospitality tickets, and more, depending on how much you are sponsoring for.
The race driver is called Jeff Harrison, a championship winning driver whose dream is to race at the Indy 500 some day. Seeing as Pro Mazda Championship is a stepping stone towards achieving that dream, Jeff Harrison will need all the support he can get.
This “project” can be crowdfunded through the StartJoin platform, and the pledge target is $250,000. So far, $45 has been raised, but there are still 38 days left. This project will receive all pledged funds, regardless of whether the target has been met or not.
Definitely an interesting trend we are seeing, although I’m not sure if this project will take off. If people could pledge towards this goal with MaxCoin instead of credit card or Paypal, it could be a different story I guess.
