This week will be a very interesting week for everyone interested in and involved with AsiaCoin. Not only does the Proof-of-Work stage end Wednesday, but there are also talks of having an AsiaCoin Multipool by then.
When AsiaCoin launched on April 16th, it was indicated from the start there would be two full weeks of mining AC before the Proof-of-Work stage would end. This worked in its favor, as “two weeks” is a lot easier to remember than “after X amount of blocks”.
In the original announcement thread, it was also stated how AsiaCoin rewards would have after week one, dropping from 10,000 AC to 5,000 AC per block. We are currently in that phase, for two and a half more days.
As soon as the Proof-of-Work stage ends, and the Proof-of-Stake stage begins, miners who have kept their AsiaCoin in their wallets, should start receiving stake, as the minimum stake age for AsiaCoin is two weeks.
For me personally, staking will begin on Thursday, as that’s the first day when I had any confirmed coins in my AsiaCoin wallet. I’ll gladly keep you all updated on how the process went, as we should receive 100% annual stake during year one.
Regardless of that, after AsiaCoin’s Proof-of-Work stage, there will be no more mining. Unless, of course, you join the AsiaCoin Multipool .As with other PoS-only coins, you will mine different cryptocurrencies, which will be converted to Bitcoin, and that Bitcoin will be used to buy up AsiaCoin on the exchanges.
As of this writing, we haven’t received any official details on the AsiaCoin Multipool yet, but we will keep you updated as we learn more. I do sincerely hope it will be an X11 multipool though, and not just Scrypt.
Plenty of things to look forward to , if you are interested and/or invested in AsiaCoin. You can still invest right now, as the AsiaCoin price is relatively low around the 900 Satoshi mark. I wouldn’t wait too long if I were you though!
