While most, if not all of us, are anxiously and eagerly awaiting the release of the CAIx Multipool over the next few days, some more information about this project have been announced. Very interesting details in fact!
We all know that, if you want to mine on a pool, you need some decent hardware. Preferably a GPU, or if it’s Scrypt, an ASIC would be even better. The CAIx Multipool has found an elegant and amazing solution for this problem.
Once the CAIx Multipool has been launched, users will have multiple options to use mining hardware. Regardless of if you as a miner want to use your GPU and/or CPU, you can. CPU mining isn’t dead just yet!
However, allowing any mining hardware is not all CryptoNote will also be implemented,.which allows for untraceable payments, unlinkable transactions, double-spending protection, blockchain analysis resistance and much more.
There already are a handful of coins who are implementing CryptoNote technology : ByteCoin (BCN), Bitmonero/Monero (BMR/MRO), FantomCoin and QuazarCoin. Once the CAIx multipool integrates CryptoNote, they will be added to the list (I assume).
In other mining news, the CAIx Multipool will support multiple algorithms. From what we know so far, X11, Scrypt , Scrypt-N and SHA-256 mining will be supported. Once we have a complete list of supported mining algorithms, we will let you know.
Very interesting times ahead for CAIx, and we will keep you updated on any further developments.
