It’s time for something entirely different this evening. Yes, it’s a Crypto story. Yes, it’s about BlackCoin. No, it has nothing to do with any projects, but rather with the BlackCoin Foundation. Have you met….
Michael “Vizique” Morris, Executive and Business Development Director for the BlackCoin Foundation? That title really is a mouthful, but Mr. Morris surely fits the profile for all of it! How do I know, you ask?
I had the honor and privilege of meeting Michael last week, at Bitcoin 2014 in Amsterdam. Not only is he a hoot when not officially conducting business, although those times are rare, he’s a genuinely nice person who knows the game of Crypto.
I’m pretty certain the biggest reason for that is because Michael Morris has no less than 38 years of experience in the world of computers and the inner workings of businesses. A real veteran, which is exactly what the BlackCoin Foundation needs.
If you are wondering what his current “real life”job is, Michael Morris runs a company that will bring CoinKite terminals to the United Kingdom. On top of that, he is the mastermind behind a new social project implementing a digital currency ecosystem across an entire city in one go.
The focal point of this experiment will, of course, be BlackCoin, simply because of the fact it is one of the supported coins on the CoinKite platform. I’m really looking forward to this experiment myself, even though it will not take place near where I live.
Michael Morris posted a very nice article about himself, what the plans are, why the BlackCoin Foundation is needed, and how they are looking at the future. It’s a read well worth your time, and you should definitely check it out. (Link can be found below this article)
As a final remark, I want to thank Michael for what he is doing for the BlackCoin community. It’s brilliant minds like him we need more of in the world of Crypto. And I hope to meet him again some day, so I can buy him a drink this time, instead of the other way around.
