Today is May 27th, which might not seem like an important date to people unfamiliar with the matter I’m about to discuss. For other people, it’s the long awaited Liberty Day, so let’s see what’s cooking over at LibertyCoin!
You may have noticed that, for some odd reason, a lot of people decided to simultaneously dump their LibertyCoin on the MintPal exchange, leading to a sudden price drop. Unfortunately for those people, their little plan didn’t succeed.
IconicExpert, a LibertyCoin community member and experienced software developer, announced that he will oversee the finalization of the anonymous technology personally. And he succeeded in doing so in spectacular fashion!
After little over an hour, he managed to complete the feature, which has ever since been dubbed “LibertySend”. There will be no beta testing, no select few people able to use it, this feature is now a fully working product.
But that’s not the big news I wanted to talk to you guys about. This LibertySend feature will not be encoded into the LibertyCoin wallet itself, but rather in the Liberty Express platform. This allows any and all users & merchants to decide whether or not they want to use this feature.
In case you have no idea what Liberty Express actually is, allow me to explain. It’s basically an all-in-one solution for Crypto. New users will be up and running within minutes, instead of scouring the Internet for information, guides and tips.
Once the Liberty Express platform goes live (in the form of an application), LibertyCoin will be available on over 300 download sites. There is also a bundle deal in place with one of the top software building companies, meaning Liberty Express will be bundled with some of the most downloaded software on the net.
This opens up the possibility to promote LibertyCoin not just as a Crypto, but also as a software product. Not to mention the potential exposure to millions of new community members. Imagine having LibertyCoin downloaded as often as Avast Antivirus?
Originally, the launch date for Liberty Express was June 6th, but if all goes to plan, the software package will be made available at a sooner, yet undisclosed date. There will also be a press release in order to celebrate this effort, scheduled to be released tomorrow.
IconicExpert will also take over the role as lead developer for LibertyCoin from this point forward. Popular demand requested a change of developer, and so it happened. I’m curious what other types of features we can expect for LibertyCoin and Liberty Express in the future!
{UPDATE} : Apparently IconicExpert has already been removed from the LibertyCoin Development team again because of past discrepancies in the BlackCoin community. More information as we get it!
