A lot of us have noticed how these new algorithms are taking the Crypto world by storm. X11 and X13 are the flavor of the month, but they do have some advantages for GPU miners. SummerCoin, a former X11 Coin, will now switch over to X13.
Yep, you’ve heard me correctly. A former x11 Crypto switching to X13. There is a good reason why SummerCoin is doing this as well, as there is also a new SummerCoin developer. Call it a fresh start if you like.
SummerCoin will also be re-branded as SummerCoinV2, and the people (like me) who are still holding their original Summercoin, will be able to swap them over at a 1:1 ratio. Interesting plan, but I’m not exactly sure how this will go over with the general Crypto community.
Don’t get me wrong, with the previous developer, although (s)he tried, the coin was never going to reach its potential. A new developer could be a good thing in that regard. The naming however…..not so sure, but we’ll see how it goes.
There will be a pre-mine for SummerCoinV2, in order to swap out all available coins on the SummerCoin blockchain over to SUM2. Other than that, we will see a new 7-day PoW phase, and PoS afterwards, with 20% stake during the first year.
